The E+H RLN42 NAMUR isolating amplifier is designed for operation of proximity switches according to EN 60947-5-6 (NAMUR) as well as open and mechanical contacts with resistive coupling elements. It has a universal power supply (24 to 230 V AC/DC) and one relay output (changeover) per channel. The device is approved for intrinsically safe (Ex i) circuits up to zone 0 (gas) and zone 20 (dust) in the Ex area. RLN42 can be used in safety equipment up to SIL 2 in accordance with IEC 61508.
This isolating amplifier monitors the input circuits for line faults, such as line breaks and short-circuits (LFD). It is disengageable. Contains input for proximity sensors acc. to NAMUR (EN 60947-5-6); floating contacts or contacts with resistance circuit. The output-side relay contacts as signal output, direction of action can be selected via DIP switches. Configurable with resistive coupling element for line monitoring of mechanical switching contacts.
